Visitor numbers to Lightwater Valley were boosted after a visit by children’s TV presenter Andy Day.
Hundreds of families streamed through the gates of the theme park in Ripon to catch Andy’s ‘Dino Raps’ show, which was hailed as a great success.
Mark Bainbridge, Lightwater Valley’s general manager, said:
“It was wonderful to be able to bring such a popular and talented family entertainer as Andy Day to the theme park.
“We’ve had superb feedback and it was great to see so many happy faces as Andy performed for the crowds.
“His show attracted many families to the theme park, some for the first time, and afterwards they were able to stay and enjoy all our other rides and attractions.”
Andy Day said:
“What a great experience! I loved every second of my time at Lightwater Valley.
“The Yorkshire crowd was so warm and funny – they really got involved and joined in with the show.
“I can’t wait to come back and see everyone again soon.”
