Liverpool PR company Boxed Off Communications has secured press coverage for a North West sports psychologist who has seen immediate success with his methods.
Brian McCready has been hailed as one of the main reasons why Workington Town’s season has turned around, with the rugby club’s threat of relegation now lifted.
He was brought in two months ago by one of the Kingstone Press Championship club’s sponsors, when the team was second to bottom of the league.
Adrian Gowing, CEO of Zebra Claims Ltd, which sponsors the stadium, has himself benefited from Brian’s coaching. He believes he’s had a really positive influence on the club and said:
“Brian’s given the lads a real pick me up and they’re now focusing on finishing the season as strongly as they can.
“The team has won its last five games which has given them a real boost.”
Over the last 25 years Brian, who’s from Liverpool, has worked with a whole host of individual sportsmen including world and Olympic champions.
He is currently working with middleweight boxer Anthony Fowler and mixed martial arts (MMA) fighters from the Kaobon gym in Liverpool.
Brian said:
“Many of the sports stars of the future realise the importance of getting the mental side of things right as well as the physical. As a professionally-trained sports psychologist my unique approach is helping reap rewards.”
Brian writes a regular column in Fighters Only magazine and more information can be found at www.brianmcready.co.uk or follow on Twitter: @brimccready
