The Sports Minister Tracey Crouch MP has opened a new £1m trampoline park in Chatham.

Boxed Off organised the launch event which also included Paralympic skiing gold medalist Charlotte Evans MBE and representatives from the Kent Sports Trust Foundation.

Flip Out Chatham, in Kent, is an 18,500 sq ft arena with 70 inter-linked trampolines and Flip Out is partnering with the Kent Sports Trust Foundation with the aim of getting trampolining onto the school curriculum across Medway.

Forty new jobs have been created at the Dockside venue which also features a 7m tumble track, free running area, a separate area for the under-5s to bounce in, plus wall runners and foam pits.

Sports Minister Tracey Crouch MP said:

“Trampolining is a really popular activity right across the country and it’s a great way to exercise, socialise and have fun.

“Arenas like this provide a safe and enjoyable environment for people of all ages and with different levels of experience.”

Kent Sports Trust Foundation CEO Steve Wolfe said:

“We’re thrilled to have partnered with Flip Out who share our goal of getting trampolining onto the school curriculum across Medway.

“It’s great that there’s now another place in the county where people can come to have fun, while doing something which is good for their general health and wellbeing.

“Many people don’t realise that jumping on a trampoline for 20 minutes brings the same health benefits as running for an hour.”

Mark McGill, Director, Flip Out Chatham said,

“I’m thrilled that this unique attraction is now open and ready for people to enjoy.

“To celebrate we’re offering jumpers free trampolining socks until the end of the year.”
