Peppa Pig is the star attraction at a giant seasonal family festival which opens in Peterborough next week (December 20th).
Bah Humbug! Fest is a 10-day extravaganza with unlimited access to more than 40 rides, inflatables and live entertainment for all ages across 100,000 sq ft of the East of England Showground.
In a twist, this festival comes with a difference as there’ll be absolutely no mention of Christmas giving visitors a welcome rest from festive overload.
The organisers have also announced this week that a 200ft section of The Labyrinth Challenge, the world’s longest, continuous, inflatable obstacle course, has been added to the event.
Every session of Bah Humbug! Fest will feature live shows from The Little Mix Experience, performances from local dance troupes, along with the chance for the kids to meet the stars of Peppa Pig, PAW Patrol and PJ Masks.
John Lowery, director of Bah Humbug! Fest, said:
“We’re excited to be just days away from the opening of Bah Humbug! Fest.
“Our aim is to give people a break from the Christmas chaos by holding a family festival in December, but with all the tinsel, mistletoe and annoying festive music removed.
“We’ve planned to fill every spare inch of the huge indoor arena with entertainment, so all ages can have fun, no matter the weather outside.
“And, for those who don’t mind the cold, we’ve made use of the expansive outside area at the East of England venue to set up our larger thrill rides.
“Full ticketholders will get wristbands for unlimited access to all the rides and inflatables, which they can use as many times as they like during their session.
“Spectator tickets are available for those who don’t want to ride, while children aged under three get in free.”
The event features everything from fairground favourites like the ghost train, waltzers and dodgems, to a roller rink, giant thrill rides and a huge selection of inflatables.
A selection of rides and inflatables have been included just for the kids to enjoy including a mini-rollercoaster, inflatable slides and bouncy castles, plus a selection of attractions for the under 3s.
Bah Humbug! Fest runs from December 20-30 (closed Christmas Day) with tickets priced £20 per four-hour session, a family ticket for two adults and two children priced £70, and a spectator-only ticket priced £6. Under-3s go in free.
Sessions run daily from 12pm-4pm and 5pm-9pm and once you’re through the doors all rides are free, the only thing to pay for is food, drink and optional prize games.
