Europe’s largest inflatable slide is coming to Liverpool later this year.
It’s all part of Gung-Ho! a unique 5k race with ten huge inflatable obstacles which participants have to navigate their way through.
The event is a first for Liverpool and is the idea of CBeebies presenter Alex Winters who will host the race.
The children’s television presenter said:
“I’m so excited to be heading up such a fun venture that will put a smile on people’s faces.
“Gung-Ho! captures the fun and pure joy of living that we see in toddlers and young children but for a slightly older audience.
“People have seen Wipeout and some of the other obstacle races on TV and this captures the essence of that.
“Make no mistake, it’s still a 5k but not as you know it. It’s seriously fun and I can’t wait to give the obstacles a go.”
After a staircase-like starting hill, participants will run through a giant ball pit, a foam pit, a climbing wall, and more before finishing with record-breaking slide, The Thriller.
The inaugural event takes place at Aintree Racecourse on 29th August with events also scheduled in Newcastle and Windsor in September.
Tickets are available at a £35 early bird rate from until June 26, then £40 until July 24 and £45 after this date until August 21.
