Barrow AFC’s promotion party boxed off

Newly promoted football club Barrow AFC found itself the focus of media attention this week after the region’s media descended on its Holker Street stadium.

Around 800 fans braved the elements to welcome the triumphant team back after winning the Conference North title on Saturday.

BBC’s North West Tonight and Granada Reports were on hand to cover the event live thanks to Boxed Off.

Jamie Reid, director, Barrow AFC said:

“It’ no mean feat to get both major regional broadcasters to Barrow and it was fabulous night to end a fabulous season.”

Richard Clein, founding director of Liverpool based Boxed Off said:

“Both broadcasters recognise the significance of Barrow’s promotion and it’s great that the club is once again on the football map.”

The ‘Holker Homecoming’ was organised by Boxed Off, after the agency was brought in by Chairman Paul Casson, a US based millionaire, following his takeover of the club last May.

The agency can also count North West based plc Heritage Great Britain, which owns iconic landmarks including John O’ Groats and Land’s End, independent financial adviser Acumen Financial Partnership and charity Liverpool Lighthouse amongst its clients.
