Richard Clein, who successfully established Bell Pottinger in Liverpool is launching a new agency Boxed Off Communications.
A former BBC journalist, Richard has more than a decade’s experience in PR, spending 6 years at Bell Pottinger North heading up campaigns for clients including global bulk logistics provider Suttons, DWF solicitors, Knowsley Hall, NSPCC, Merseyside’s five specialist hospitals, Liverpool Primary Care Trust (PCT), The Witherslack Group of Schools and Wates Construction.
An expert in media training and reputation management Richard led the crisis communications response for Stepping Hill hospital after contaminated saline was found and recently trained first team players from Tottenham Hotspur FC.
Richard is widely recognised as being one of the most influential people in the industry having featured twice in the PR Week Power Book.
This followed Richard’s appointment as global spokesman for Gillian Gibbons, the British teacher jailed in Sudan for letting her primary school class name a teddy bear “Mohammed.” Following Gillian’s release Richard negotiated with Editors across the world so Gillian could tell her story.
Richard Clein, founding director of Boxed Off said:
“Boxed Off is a PR and communications agency which, unlike some, does exactly as its name suggests. Whether a big brand or not so big brand or a high profile individual who wants to be in the news or out of it, we’ve been there and done it and got the case studies to prove it. Being successful is no longer about thinking out the box but more about being boxed off.”
“I’m really looking forward to working with a team of like-minded people who’ve also had careers working for and with big brands but are now running successful businesses with a track record of delivering for their clients.
“This approach offers a more dedicated service for companies and organisations of all shapes and sizes. Don’t think out the box, think boxed off.”
