Families with young children are in for a treat this half-term as a pop-up farm is coming to Lightwater Valley for February half-term.

Selected rides and attractions at the North Yorkshire theme park will be open to customers during the six-day half-term event, which is designed to appeal to those aged eight and under.

The highlight will be the arrival of the pop-up farm where children can pet and feed a variety of animals including alpacas, lambs, piglets, rabbits and miniature ponies.

Experts from Riggmore Farm will also be on hand to answer any questions about the animals.

Other half-term highlights at Lightwater Valley include the Angry Birds Activity Park and the Lightwater Falconry Centre where families can watch displays from the resident raptors.

Mark Bainbridge, general manager, Lightwater Valley theme park said:

“We’re really excited to be welcoming the farm animals to Lightwater Valley during half-term.

“The pop-up farm gives families the chance to get up close to some seriously cute animals and offers even more to keep our younger visitors entertained.

“Half-term guests can also enjoy our most family-friendly rides and attractions like Skyrider, Carousel, Ladybug, indoor soft play and lots more.

“Parents and grandparents will also be pleased to know that our Shopping Village will be open, along with our two cafés for delicious coffee and cake.”

The half-term event runs Thursday 16th to Tuesday 21st of February, from 10.30am to 3.30pm daily.

Entrance is £6 per person and tickets must be booked in advance. Free entry is available for Lightwater Valley Season Ticket holders and babies under one year old.
