Boxed Off signed off 2016 in festive style by working with LoveHistory and St George’s Hall in Liverpool to launch their seasonal show ‘The Ghosts of Christmas Past’.
Focusing on the darker, spookier parts of Charles Dickens’ classic ghost story ‘A Christmas Carol’ the event included a tour of the catacombs beneath the Grade-I listed hall and was aimed at scaring the Dickens out of visitors.
Guests on the Ghosts of Christmas Past promenade tour were led through the hall’s eerie underground cells and passageways by a team of professional actors who really brought the novelist’s famous characters and stories to life.
Boxed Off secured excellent levels of media coverage for the event, including a feature on Granada News, a cover splash and articles in the Liverpool Echo, plus spots on other local TV and radio stations.
